Why choose the variant without soldered header?

If you want to solder the module directly onto your own board, connect it with a ribbon cable, or implement an alternative connection method, this variant is the right choice. The header is included – you decide whether and how you use it. This saves rework and avoids desoldering.

What is the difference from the soldered variant?

Purely mechanical. The soldered variant (W6001a) is ready to use immediately – plug in and go. The "header extra" variant (W6001h) is better if you want to remain flexible or mount more compactly. Functionally identical.

Do I need soldering experience?

Only if you want to solder the supplied header or another connection yourself. For simply plugging into a socket, however, the pre-soldered variant W6001a would be the better choice.

Can I control the module via app?

Yes, via Bluetooth. Compatible apps include the Blackout Lighting Console App and the Luminair App for iOS.

Which DMX standards are supported?

CRMX Classic, W-DMX (G3, G4, G4S), DMX512A including RDM, and Bluetooth.

Which antenna is compatible?

The antenna connector is IPEX/u.fl. For external mounting, adapters to RP-SMA are recommended. Suitable options can be found under Radio and Antennas.

What is the alternative if I want to go deeper into the protocol?

For developers who want to communicate directly via SPI and have full control over DMX packets, the LUMEN CONTROL (W6000) is the appropriate choice – it omits the plug-and-play logic and exposes SPI directly.

This module is designed as a plug-and-play CRMX module. It is easy to integrate without requiring any additional programming.
The header pins provide direct access to DMX, signal level LEDs and the mandatory LINK button.
All basic feedback LEDs such as STATUS, LINK and LOW SIGNAL, as well as the LINK button, are directly accessible on the top of the module.

The Radical Wireless LUMEN CARD TimoTwo module with Lumenradio's best CRMX and WDMX technology enables simple wireless control of DMX fixtures and LED dimmers. Even Bluetooth is supported. This gives you the option to use your preferred iOS app, such as the Blackout Lighting Console App or the Luminair App.
