Many OEM radio modules such as the LUMEN CARD TimoTwo or the LUMEN CONTROL TimoTwo have a tiny IPEX/u.fl connector. This adapter allows connecting an external RP-SMA antenna for improved range – e.g. the stub antenna K40809-2.0 or the 90° variant K40834-2.0.
Only the cable length. The 5 cm adapter suits tight enclosures; the 10 cm adapter (K40835) gives more flexibility for positioning the antenna outside the enclosure.
Losses from cable and connectors at 5 cm are negligible. The gain from an external antenna far outweighs the minimal loss.
