What does "refurbished" mean for this device?

Refurbished means the device was either used as a demo unit, was briefly in service as a rental device, or has come back from initial use. It has been fully tested, cleaned and – where necessary – reconditioned. Functionally it behaves like a new unit, but may show slight signs of wear on the housing.

What is the difference from the BLE version (W0305)?

The refurbished model uses the proven CRMX Classic protocol without Bluetooth. If you don't need app configuration, CRMX² and BLE, this device is the cost-effective choice. The BLE version additionally offers CRMX² with higher data rate and Bluetooth configuration via the Lumenradio Toolbox App.

Is the device compatible with my existing CRMX setup?

Yes. The Blackbird FX understands CRMX Classic and is additionally backwards-compatible with W-DMX G3, G4 and G4S. You can therefore integrate it seamlessly into existing radio systems, both as transmitter and receiver.

Can I use the device outdoors in the rain?

IP65 means: dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. So yes, light rain, spray water and dust are not a problem. For complete underwater environments, IP67/68 would be required.

How do I charge the device?

Via USB micro at 5V DC. A standard smartphone charger or a power bank is sufficient; no dedicated charger is required.

Which antenna is compatible?

The antenna connector is RP-TNC. In addition to the supplied standard antenna, you can use omnidirectional or directional antennas to adjust range or beam pattern. For alternatives see Radio and Antennas.
