Why CRI 98 and TLCI 100 Matter

The Colour Rendering Index (CRI) describes how accurately a light source reproduces colours – 100 equals sunlight. At CRI 98, the DEMETER module sits at the very top of available LED technology. For film sets, photography, and colour-critical work, this means: what the eye sees is what the camera captures.

The TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency Index) is the camera-specific counterpart to CRI. A score of 100 (6000 K) means no white balance correction is needed in post-production – a significant advantage in professional video work.

Mounting & Cooling Notes

• The module must be mounted on a suitable heatsink – without cooling, thermal overload will occur.
• For optimal heat dissipation, thermal paste or a thermal pad between the module and heatsink is strongly recommended.
• Operating voltage is exactly 24 V DC – a matching power supply is required.
• PWM dimming operates across two separate channels (2600 K / 6000 K), enabling flexible blending of both colour temperatures.

Can I continuously blend the colour temperature?
Yes. The module has two independent channels (2600 K and 6000 K), each dimmable via PWM individually. By mixing both channels, any desired colour temperature between 2600 K and 6000 K can be achieved.

What power supply do I need?
A regulated 24 V DC power supply with at least 2.5 A (≥ 3 A recommended for headroom) per module is required. For multiple modules, plan the total power supply capacity accordingly.

Is the module dimmable?
Yes, via PWM signal on both channels independently. Compatible with common LED dimmers and DMX controllers.

What is the difference between the 52 W and the 22 W version?
Both versions share the same design (Ø 80 mm, 2-channel, 24 V). The 52 W version delivers significantly more luminous flux at 5,021 lm and is suited for applications requiring higher light intensity – with a correspondingly more robust cooling solution. For more compact builds, the DEMETER 22 W version is the better choice.

Is a heatsink included?
No. The module is supplied without a heatsink. Please source a suitable heatsink for Ø 80 mm separately.
