The only difference is the shape of the board: DISC is round, BAR is rectangular. The electrical properties are nearly identical. The DISC5 is suitable wherever a round light pattern or a round installation situation is desired – e.g. in downlights or round enclosures. The BAR5-7070 (A60010) has marginally more power (19 W instead of 18 W).
At 18 W continuous operation, a thermally conductive mounting surface or heat sink is recommended.
5 independent PWM outputs for full control of all colours and colour temperatures.
The 7070 chip integrates all 5 colours (RGBCCT) in one chip. This produces a more homogeneous colour mix without visible colour separation, especially at short viewing distances.
