Amber (605 nm) is a monochromatic colour without any white light component – there is no broadband phosphor emission. This makes amber LEDs ideal for specific colour effects and as a supplementary channel in RGBA systems, since amber improves the colour rendering of skin tones and saturated colours. Warm white LEDs (1600–1700K) emit a broader spectrum and are better suited as a lighting source.
In RGBA (red, green, blue, amber) or RGBAW systems. The amber channel fills the spectral gap between red and green and significantly improves colour rendering for skin tones. For custom module population with an amber channel, the GKORE Individual Series is available.
