What does "BAR2x2" mean?

The name describes the physical configuration: a rectangular module with 2 rows of 2LEDs each. A total of 4LEDs on a very compact board of only 14 × 15mm – ideal when installation space is very limited.

Can I adjust the colour temperature steplessly?

Yes. The two channels (2600K and 6000K) can be driven independently via PWM. By mixing both channels, any colour temperature in between can be set. A simple 2-channel PWM dimmer is sufficient, such as the FX2 nano 2 (CT0033).

What is the difference from the BAR2x3 variant?

The BAR2x2 is even more compact (14 × 15mm) and has only 4LEDs instead of 6. It is the smallest available 2-channel CCT option. The BAR2x3 12V 3W offers more power and brightness on a slightly larger board.

Do I need a heat sink?

At 2W, cooling is not a critical issue. In well-ventilated installations or during intermittent operation, heat dissipation via the board is generally sufficient. For continuous operation in closed enclosures, a thermally conductive mounting surface is recommended.

Is the module available with different population?

Yes. GKORE offers individual population on request – e.g. with different colour temperatures or monochromatic LEDs. Simply get in touch. Pre-configured variants (e.g. Individual population) are also available in the shop.

Which controller do you recommend?

For 12V operation with 2 channels, the GKORE FX2 nano 2 (12–24V, 4A/channel) is very suitable. In addition to simple dimming, it also offers pre-installed light effects such as candle flickering or fade effects.
