Why 5V – what are the advantages over 24V?

5 V enables direct operation via USB power banks or USB power supplies – no separate 24 V supply needed. Ideal for portable setups, on-camera lights or prop lighting without external power. The downside: higher current at the same power, therefore shorter maximum cable runs without voltage drop.
